New Year's resolution # 1, ride with a HUGE group. Done!
Be There or Get Slower started the year with a bang. No less than 50 riders showed up at the Airplane Fields, only to be greeted by a parking lot full of lifeless Christmas trees! As the ride progressed we picked up another 10 or 12 making for a pretty dominating peloton. However, we still know of many who didn't show that could have made the peloton into 75+ strong. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped to make it a safe and enjoyable day. See you next week!
If anyone would like a picture taken during the ride to have for their personal stash let me know. All my pictures are randomly taken when I get the urge or opportunity due to the route. I'm more than happy to get an action shot of you that I can email or post here. To acquire a picture below first click on the specific picture, and then right click on the picture that opens in the next page. Choose save as and then save in your appropriate folder. The shots below are thumbnails, but clicking on them opens up the picture in their normal size.

Winding up early on Old Natchez.
Be ready at anytime to get snapped.
The strongest man in the peloton award goes to: Gerry Hayden!
After ripping off his left crankarm nobody
challenged Gerry in a sprint!
How in the world somebody had tools to fix this we'll never know, but
the
shock and awe of Gerry's power was too amazing!
Come on guys, don't let me drop you. Tom with OS Cycling sporting
his digs.
Personally, I recommend drafting behind an experienced pro.
At least if you're going to stop and relieve yourself, do it on a bike
lane!
Don't talk with your mouth full.
This picture is proof that women do come out and keep up.
Joanie, Tristan (sp?), and Vida mix it up every Saturday. Ladies,
come out!
At least he shaved his legs for this.
Riding along the mountain pass, err Poplar Creek. Off goes
Christian twice to the left.
Highlight of the Day: Tsunami Kids Fund
We rode across these kids late afternoon and had to stop. All of
them were excited to
accept money for their fund, and serve us cups of OJ. The chopper
bike kid was
super proud of his sweet ride. By far the coolest kids on the
block!!
