Since the photographer (me) lives near the triathlon course an executive decision was made to spin over and watch the festivities. I arrived just as the first men were coming out of the water. After getting a few shots I took off onto the bike course, passing many, and perched atop a good little hill that slows everyone down. I rode to several spots where I felt the best pictures could be found and ended up seeing several people three different times during the event. NashvilleCyclist.com diarist Lauren Gaffney took part in a relay team and did the bike portion. Before you say it, triathletes are cyclists too!
The dawn of a new day of suffering.
Not many shots out of the water because I wanted to maximize bike shots!
All the shots above were from the one short little rise not far into the
course.
It was a great place to catch people at a slower pace.
Right about this time people are seeing me for the second or third time.
A few were cracking jokes about seeing me so often on the bike course.
Luckily I know all the shortcuts in the area.
It was at this time I ran out of memory in my camera. Too bad
because I wanted to catch more of the runners. There's always next
year!
