All Aboard !

Music City Star

September 18, 2006

Yeah I know, it's not bike racing!  What's more cooler than a train ride though?  These pictures are from the launching of Nashville's newest form of public transportation, the Music City Star.  I took the train from Donelson to Lebanon on it's first day of operation.  I was able to take my bicycle on board and store it safely in the car I was sitting.  Later that afternoon I took an easy spin home on the bike back to Donelson!  It doesn't get less stressful than that.

Pulling into the Donelson station

Engineer's "office", one of the coolest jobs!

Actually it only accepts $5 bills, but you get a scratch off.

The Cannondale gets it's own window.

Traffic backing up on Old Hickory Blvd, suckers!

the details of our trip to Lebanon.

Adios!

Leaving the Lebanon station to
its maintenance facility until
the afternoon runs to Nashville.
