NashvilleCyclist.com diarist Katharine Carroll soaked in the scene at stage 1 in Santa Rosa, and has sent back a few pictures to enjoy. Katharine's teammate Chrissy Ruiter was with her as they got some good up close shots at the end of the stage. Katharine is following up later today with a diary, but this should wet your appetite till then.

the podium. JJ is good friends with several people on
my team, so it was a happy day in Santa Rosa for us.
