Hey folks! I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from me
but hold on to your hats cause here I go again. In Canadia
right now for some BC Superweek action. We just finished the first
weekend of racing here, the Tour De White Rock, in which my man Matt
Shriver won the overall with some pretty good riding. The Gastown
Crit up in Vancouver is on tomorrow, so should be interesting.
Have been back into the racing here for a bit now, at least on the national scene. The first big race I did was the Nature Valley Grand Prix. The first stage was a bit of a wake-up call. It was a crit and I had forgotten how hard those dudes ride!! But I got through then the first road race massive pile-up of about 40 dudes 4 miles into the race. Both my wheels were busted and my bike was a bit worse for wear. It took about 5mins for me and Austin to get going, but luckily we had the car there and got some good motorpacing in. We were behind it for a while then the commissaire told Jesse to go back up to the field. So we swapped off by ourselves for a little bit until Jesse had to stop and fix the roof-rack!! And so we paced for about a total of 1/2hr I bet, it was forever. I thought we had no chance but then we saw the group cresting a hill, and so I high-fived Austin and we got back into the cars and up to the field. About 2k’s after we got on, we took a left turn and massive crosswind saw the field in the gutter and me and Austin promptly going straight out the ass. Luckily my rear brake was rubbing so I had to hold onto the car the get it fixed. Gave me a good little rest and we got a group together and ended up getting back on.
It was a good week as I ended up with a top ten in the 2nd crit, which was nice, and a good feeling to be able to get in the finish and bump a few elbows. Since then I been up a bit of track racing. Raced the Festival of Speed down at the Dicklanevelodrome.com and also raced a weekend out in Portland last week. Portland ended up being quite funny being that I won the keirin. I couldn’t believe it. Those sprint dudes were trying to race all bumpy and tough. This one guy told me he was going to kill me. I bumped my way into the final since I’m not really fast enough to go head-to-head against those dudes for speed. I have to be a bit tricky and bring out some old school to take them on, and in the final it was great they totally underestimated me and they paid for it!! Check the photo of the finish.

So then I came to Canadia and I’m pretty stinky as a bike rider right now, not riding too well at all. I’m really hoping I can get through these next couple weeks of racing, including the Altoona Tour and come out with some nice form, cause the way I’m riding right now just won’t do. Aside from that some of y’all may know this but I moved to Atlanta a little while ago. I was pretty sad to leave Nashy, being my home for the past 3 or so years has been great, met some great people and all the rest. Most importantly I’m going to remain a devout Titans fan, and I hope that we slay the Falcons at the game in Nashy this coming football season.
How about the tour so far!! It has been crazy as usual. It is going to be a really interesting final 2 weeks. Sad to see Mick Rogers go down and out and O’Grady as well, but Cadel Evans is really looking like he might have a real shot at winning the thing. Nice to see Leipheimer struggling a little, he is a real lamo. Interesting to know that Zabel only took drugs once. I think he may have left out the end of that sentence that went something like “per day."
Nothing profound to come out of my fingers at this
moment. I am preparing for the new version of Madden coming
out in a few weeks. I just purchased a Playstation3 to enable
some great gaming soon. Well I think that’s it catch ya’s soon…jh
